Angie Hatton obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1999 from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she competed on the ATLA National Trial Team, Moot Court, and Trial Advocacy Board. Prior to law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University in journalism and worked as a reporter.

In her 19-year law practice, she has accumulated varied experience working at a large firm in Lexington, serving as corporate counsel for a coal company, serving as Letcher County Trial Commissioner and Assistant Letcher County Attorney, City Attorney for the City of Fleming-Neon and served injured people and families for several years in private practice.

She is Vice President of the Letcher County Bar Association and serves on numerous civic and volunteer boards.

She also currently serves as Kentucky State Representative for the 94th District, which includes Letcher County and parts of Pike County.

The newest associate to join the firm, she will work from the Whitesburg office of the Johnson Law Firm.
